Plant to Stop Poverty (PSP)
The PSP project aims to plant 12 million trees along Tanzania's northeast coast and Eastern Arc mountains by 2030. We focus on indigenous trees to restore biodiversity and protect watersheds and water source areas, including invaded banks of Pangani and Zigi rivers, while distributing agroforestry trees to reduce dependence on forest reserves. Targeting communities in Amani Nature Reserve and along key shorelines like Tanga, Pangani, and Bagamoyo, the Plant to Stop Poverty initiative enhances both livelihoods and conservation.
Bright Futures Initiative
We support the education of vulnerable children in rural areas by allocating 5% of tree planting costs to their needs. We provide essentials like food, school supplies, and clothing while improving infrastructure such as homes and schools. Tree nurseries offer employment, reducing reliance on environmentally harmful activities like charcoal production.
