Plant to Stop Poverty (PSP)

The PSP project aims to plant 12 million trees along Tanzania's northeast coast and Eastern Arc mountains by 2030. We focus on indigenous trees to restore biodiversity and protect watersheds and water source areas, including invaded banks of Pangani and Zigi rivers, while distributing agroforestry trees to reduce dependence on forest reserves. Targeting communities in Amani Nature Reserve and along key shorelines like Tanga, Pangani, and Bagamoyo, the Plant to Stop Poverty initiative enhances both livelihoods and conservation.

Plastic Free Campaign

Tanzania faces significant urban solid waste challenges due to rapid growth and economic changes. Our campaign promotes the 3R concept: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. This approach enhances waste management, reduces pollution, and supports sustainable urban living.

Clean Water for Life Projects

We provide clean, reliable water in rural Tanzania by drilling 20 communal wells in 16 villages servicing up to 52,000 people. This reduces the daily burden on women and girls who travel long distances for water. Reliable water access improves education, food security, and economic opportunities, breaking the cycle of poverty. Our projects include building new wells, rehabilitating old ones, and constructing rain catchment systems. Our target is to build 150 wells in 67 villages across Tanga and Kilimanjaro regions.

Bright Futures Initiative

We support the education of vulnerable children in rural areas by allocating 5% of tree planting costs to their needs. We provide essentials like food, school supplies, and clothing while improving infrastructure such as homes and schools. Tree nurseries offer employment, reducing reliance on environmentally harmful activities like charcoal production.

Green Economies Empowerment

We strengthen rural economies through tree planting and smart agriculture. Our program trains and funds 150 women in 3 target groups to develop entrepreneurial skills and self-sufficiency. By promoting green jobs and sustainable agriculture, we address poverty and biodiversity loss, in the Eastern arc and Northern east Indian coast of Tanzania Areas ensuring stable markets and improved rural economies.
